For the past two weeks we have been using a school kit. It was free. but if you don`t bring it back on time you Will have to pay. Its just like a library book. We have been working with puriri class. we have started picking up rubbish then we sorted them out. Here is all the rubbish. this is all the groups rubbish together. Its a lot it looks like a dump yard. The people in my group were Daetyn,hani,me, and Luke. Our  group picked up the most rubbish out of all the groups. We picked up 19 plastic bags, 3 plastic bottles , 2 plastic cups, 0 tyres, 46 toys, 38 straws,175 food wrappers, 254 mescaline's.we all had a good time. when we picked up the rubbish we did it with puriri                                                                                                                                 class. Fiao’o Fa’amausili was the past captain of the NZ Black Ferns, the NZ women’s rugby team. The Black Ferns have won the Women’s Rugby World Cup five times.  The NZ Black Ferns (women) now earn money for being in the team. They do not earn as much as the All Blacks (men). I think it should be equal.because they do the same amount of work.

To my new teacher Here are a few things about how like to learn. Hi my name is Zoe. I don't like sharing my work because I get nervous a lot. I hate working with other people because people copy me and I don't like other classes coming in my class. I like having the figuring out on the board, likes maths strategies with an example to follow because I need a bit more help with maths. I need to have a game outside and have games often. My most favourite game is capture the flag.  I like choosing what to learn. My favourite subject is reading. I don't like reading, maths and writing groups because I dont like being disturbed from my independent work. I like working on read theory, reading eggs and showing me a picture of something and writing about it. I like having my own desk. I like prefer from a teacher than a friend or student. I don't like using paragraphs a lot!

This is my poster.Our teacher  is going to decide which poster is the best.We are going to sell tea towels,bags,honey. We are also going to be selling a bundle which has beeswax wraps,tea towels,honey at market night.

Kia ora, we are Oruaiti School. We are room 4 kauri class. We are a silver environmental school. We are making honey and tea towels because we want to save up for our outdoor learning space with solar panels to plug stuff in. We have also bought a kiln for 400$. We make the tea towels from 100% cotton tea towels, they start of plane white then we paint the tea towels. We make patterns like bees, eels, ducks and tikis. The students are going to make our outdoor learning space with our whanau and community.

If you want kauri classes tea towels you might want to know were oruaiti school is 2554 state highway 10, mangonui 0494.  E`lwyn richardson was famous for  screen printing and also his inter creclemimgraishion.  Elwyn richardson was oruaiti schools principal for 1949 to 1962. Kauri class is trying to bring back the legacy off elwyn richardson he inspired us to create our tea towels. 

On pet day we had a bit of a market.At the market  their was food like sausages,cake,cookies,nachos,cupcakes,lolly bags,drinks,hot chips. We also had games. but while all that fun was happening our art work was getting judged. here is a picture of all our art work. "yay" i said when i saw that i had gotten a card next to my story board art.

This week in Kauri class we have been learning how to trap rats. We are now ready to trap some of them around the school. And we have also been setting traps in the paddocks where our school ducks live. We are trying to stop rats killing native birds, and stop them eating our duck eggs.  And this is  h ow to set a rat trap If you follow these simple  steps you will quickly get rid of rats.  And hear are some things you will need:  3 cm nail with double sided tip  peanut-butter,a spoon, a rat trap,rectangle box.  To set your trap you will need to:     1.First you will get a rat trap. 2.Secondly you will get another person to hold your rat trap. 3. Afterwards  you get a spoon and you put how much toothpaste you would put on your toothbrush.  4.You  then  put the trap into the rectangle box. 5. Then you get the rat trap. 6.Then you put the rat trap in the box when it is loaded/open 7. Then you put the 3 cm nail on the medal of the rectangle

this is how we take care of our crombooks.  first Dona said we had to Get our cromebook.  then we went on Goggle  drawings. and took pictures. and then we put little speach bubbles. That had what we wanted to say.   the last thing we did was change the backround. i thorhgt that it was fun because we could try new things. in the picture i was talking about. how i take care of my cromebook. this is how i take care of it.  because i do all my work on our    

Once upon a time. There was a huge pup. Well more than a huge pup. A gigantic  actually. A human was just round the corner. He's big running comp until. ... Rooooooooooooooor a  gigantic pup was right in front of him. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh The man was so frightened he wet his pants. When the pup was running. His ears were starting to make him fly. ``Weee``,he shouted. Antill he fell  Because. He was fat. The pup was a brownie colour. He actually looked quite angry. But funny then he caught something. On the corner of his eye. It was a  gym ball. He turned left right left…and suddenly. He felt tired so the pup fell asleep. He was so loud japan could hare him. In fact the whole world. Could hare the loud pup. Until he smelt you don't believe it. He ate BBQ with liver yuck. yum yum yum barked the fat pup. Hee Hee he The pup was pretty cute boo boo. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, the river was pointing at me. When l looked it was very shiny. I had nowhere to go. ahhhhhh!!!
