This week in Kauri class we have been learning how to trap rats.
We are now ready to trap some of them around the school. And we have also been setting traps in the paddocks where our school ducks live. We are trying to stop rats killing native birds, and stop them eating our duck eggs.
And this is how to set a rat trap

If you follow these simple steps you will quickly get rid of rats.
And hear are some things you will need:
3 cm nail with double sided tip peanut-butter,a spoon, a rat trap,rectangle box.
To set your trap you will need to:
1.First you will get a rat trap.

2.Secondly you will get another person to hold your rat trap.
3. Afterwards you get a spoon and you put how much toothpaste you would put on your toothbrush.
4.You then put the trap into the rectangle box.
5. Then you get the rat trap.
6.Then you put the rat trap in the box when it is loaded/open
7. Then you put the 3 cm nail on the medal of the rectangle box.
8. Afterwards you put your numbers were you want to put it.
9. Then you put it where you think there will be rats.
